give a hoot
So now we have a space, a date, a guest list... And I guess we've forgotten to update a few things here! After visiting, calling, emailing, and comparing every possible event space in the greater Atlanta area, J and I picked a sweet little inn and spa in Athens, Georgia. (It has a spa on site!) The space is perfect (Did I mention the spa?), and the people have been just fantastic. Neither of us can really say enough good things about them! So now we've marched forward onto other decisions! Like bridesmaid dresses! And tuxes! And invitations, save the dates, songs for the reception, flowers, wedding dress details, hair and makeup styles... Ok, so it's not exactly the home-stretch. But we're moving forward and definitely still on schedule.
In a few days, J and I are headed to the West Coast! No, it's not a break from wedding planning. That beast never sleeps! We're visiting the absolutely fabulous Jess who's making my dress and doing the alterations for J's! She's also my right-hand girl for help with our planning. So she's taking us to the fashion district in Hollywood and getting our measurements, (also showing us around the studio where she works, finding a good view of the Hollywood sign, and taking us up to the observatory on one of the hills to really see the city!). It's going to be great trip!
